February 10, 1935 – June 8, 2007

Reba Louise Kindt Windle, 72, of College Station entered into her eternal life with Christ on Friday, June 8, 2007. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 at Stroud Funeral Home, with the Rev. Johnny Sloan, pastor, officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 11 at the funeral home.

Patient, warm, creative, bright, faithful and loving are all words that describe Reba. She was born February 10, 1935 in Bryan and married Robert Windle on May 29, 1953. She retired from the City of Alvin in 1996, after more than 20 years of service. During her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her friends and two dogs, Amy and Megan, and crafts and gardening. Reba was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and servant of her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Windle and Bertha Elliott Prather, and stepfather, William Prather of Clute. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Robert Windle; sons, Michael Windle of Alvin, Chris Windle and wife, Katina, of North Carolina, and Richard Windle and wife, Son Mi, of San Antonio; daughter, Donna Wollam and husband, Tom, of LaMarque; sister, Pat Kessner and husband, Dan, of Clute; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Windle Parker, Brandon, Lauren, Kristin, Justin, Ricky and Ta un Windle, Rebeca Hollis and Jason, Bryan and Lisa Clark; eight great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.
